Vehicle Details
Ordered by me and owned since new. All-original, NOT a restoration. Original paint and glass. Meticulously maintained mechanically. 100% OEM dual exhaust. Well-maintained paint and chrome. Added Dee Zee aluminum running-boards and mud-flaps when new. Tires are in great condition and have deep treads. Drop-in polyethylene bed-liner since new. Fully undercoated by Rusty Jones wax-based process, even under the bed-liner. In addition to custom-wheels and sliding rear window, the original wheels, hubcaps and OEM rear glass (not installed on truck). Stored in dry and well-sealed garage. For all 36-years I have registered and passed MA state inspection. For the past 25-years I have drivin it just 50-100 miles/yr in warm-weather, and never in the rain. I wash and wax it once each year.
Exterior
1-Owner, all original inside and out. I had planned to keep this collectable truck to the end of my life, but I have nobody to will it to, so I have decided to offer it for sale. My wish is that this rare configuration (a true survivor) be preserved well into the future. I don’t need to sell it, but I want to see it survive. If a buyer is not found via eBay Motors I plan to contact both Mecum and Barrett-Jackson auction scouts, for possible inclusion in a televised event.
Interior
Non-smoker. Interior still smells new. Carpet and floor-mats BOTH like new. Doors operate smoothly and solidly. Windows crank open and close smoothly. All of the door seals are undamaged and pliable.
Engine
All original w/ matching VIN #. Entire drivetrain works perfectly and nothing was ever opened up for repairs. All fluids & filters changed at every OEM-specified interval, using only OEM-branded or specified products. Starts instantly, every time. Does not smoke at idle or at load. This was not a “work-truck”, but used primarily for coast-to-coast vacation travel, with a camper insert, during non-winter times of the year. This truck was never used to plow snow, or carry excessively heavy cargo. All body bushings are pliant and the ride is smooth and clunk-free. Shocks were replaced with OEM parts at about mid-life. Entire 4-wheel drive system shifts and operates smoothly. Lots of documentation, including the production order showing all the options selected.
