    • This is an original advertisement for Wheatena cereal that was featured in the June 1928 edition of the Good Housekeeping magazine. This piece was created by Eleanor Campbell who was a well-established illustrator for many children’s books and portraits in the early to mid-20th century. Her focus was on trying to capture the world “as children saw it,” using primarily watercolor and drawing inspiration from the children of her family and friends. This piece depicts a small girl feeding her baby brother the cereal for “strength, growth, and energy”.
